Credit Card Survey: Respondents Offer Up Advice on Web-based Credit Card Interfaces

Another question in our annual credit card benchmarking survey asked respondent if there was anything they particularly liked or don't like about their web-based credit card interface.

Web-based credit card payment interfaces are clearly gaining in popularity. As already noted, they cut down on the need for a collection agent to process the transaction, can reduce costs in comparison to other processing regimens, and offer some advantages in terms of PCI compliance. Even so, they are not necessarily a slam dunk.

Here are the responses relative to web-based interfaces:

"We have some occasional reporting related, balancing problems."

- Mary Peacox, Credit Supervisor, Sentry Group

"It works well for us and we process many customers on an ongoing basis with the card on file."

- Sheri Jameson, Credit Manager, V.P.D. IV, Inc.

"We are currently working on this side of the business, but with PCI it's very tough to get it to where it's perfect, and thus why it's taking so long."

- Brian Good, Senior Manager of Credit and A/R, PUMA North America
