Buffalo, NY -- ABC-Amega announces the partnership of Gift Associates Interchange Network, Inc. (GAIN), a credit group managed by ABC-Amega since 1992, with The Gift and Home Trade Association (GHTA), a professional organization for manufacturers, importers and distributors in the gift, garden, and home industries. Through GHTA's efforts, the partnership will increase membership in GAIN, the premier industry credit group for credit professionals in the giftware and related industries. As a result, members will have access to more extensive and comprehensive payment information on retailers in the industry. ABC-Amega will continue to provide 24/7 online access to retailer payment experience, flash notices, predictive payment scoring and educational resources to GAIN, and the new GHTA-GAIN members. "GAIN and ABC-Amega are excited to partner with GHTA to provide outstanding credit information and education to industry vendors," said David Herer, CEO of ABC-Amega and President of GAIN. "We share a common vision about how the credit management function can be strengthened through technology, collaboration and training, and look forward to pursuing this vision immediately and in the years to come." "Through this interchange, GHTA is hoping to reduce the subjectivity currently involved in making credit decisions," said John Toler, COO of Evergreen and the GHTA member responsible for pursuing this partnership. "GHTA chose GAIN because of its reputation, its professionalism, and its extensive database within the gift and home industries. Our vendors -- and ultimately all industry stakeholders -- will benefit immensely from this partnership. Vendors receive improved information to make more informative decisions; retailers with good credit history receive larger lines of credit and faster credit decisions." More than 150 leading companies within the gift and home industry, including Ganz, Demdaco, and Midwest-CBK, are currently using GAIN. As members, these organizations have access to a database that includes all of the main gift purchasers within the industry. Terry Stewart, executive vice president of sales at Midwest-CBK, a10-year GAIN member said, "We have found GAIN to be a great business tool that has diversity of membership and provides immediate, accurate and reliable customer information from a broad database. In addition to their extensive database of information we find that GAIN is committed to the continued development and education of its members." "Our company has been using GAIN for 11 years," explained Lance Hart, president of Demdaco. "Involvement with GAIN has helped streamline our credit process, allowing us to make better, informed decisions." About GAIN/ABC-Amega
